REINTJES has developed a new electrically powered hybrid system solution for the transmission sector that offers ships an alternative for slow speeds.
These hybrid systems ensure significantly more efficient operation as they allow the ship to be driven at low speeds below the idle speed of a diesel engine. The electric drive is characterized by smooth running, low noise, and reduced power consumption, and is becoming increasingly important. To facilitate installation, the combined electric motor and generator is flanged directly to the transmission and equipped with a frequency converter.
