What are your responsibilities as Director of the Academy at REINTJES?

As Director of the REINTJES Academy, I have had a triple role since 2023. On the one hand, I am in charge of the Academy, and on the other, I am the training manager for REINTJES apprentices in technical professions and external apprentices. I also train industrial mechanics myself. So there are quite a few tasks. I take care of offers and invoicing, acquire new partners, plan training content, coordinate courses and further training, and impart knowledge myself.

What challenges does the job involve and what is special about it?

I’m getting older, but the trainees always stay young because of the constant turnover. So I have to stay young at heart and always be ready to learn new things. In addition, my diverse range of tasks means that I essentially combine several departments in one person. This requires good time management.

What sets REINTJES apart?

I would like to divide the answer into two areas: REINTJES as a company and the REINTJES Academy. The Academy is my professional home; I did my training here myself and have stayed here ever since. We have a very good and homogeneous team here. Everyone contributes their skills and abilities, and we work together excellently. REINTJES is characterised by the great importance it attaches to training. It has its own building with over 2500 square metres of space and fully equipped workshops. That is extraordinary. In addition, all colleagues are very helpful and there is always a focus on solving problems.
