What are your responsibilities as Manager Product Support at REINTJES?

My main role is to resolve customers’ issues worldwide as quickly as possible through technical support. In practical terms, this means that I coordinate service requests from customers, subsidiaries and partners, and plan field service visits.

What challenges does the job involve and what is special about it?

What makes this job special – and challenging at the same time – is the variety. Every day is different and requests are always urgent. The ship requiring our gearboxes and servicing is moored in a port somewhere in the world and needs to get back on the move as quickly as possible. Managing that is a real challenge. But finding new service technicians is just as challenging. And we will certainly need quite a few of them in the coming years.
