REINTJES puts in strong performances at the Dragon Boat Fun Regatta

Water sports. What could be better in this weather? That’s exactly what our two dragon boat teams thought as they took part in the Hameln Canoe Club’s Dragon Boat Fun Regatta.

As the name suggests, the focus of this event is, of course, on having fun. And, as is tradition, the participants are treated to plenty of entertainment around the Hameln harbour headland.

Nevertheless, it’s also about the sporting competition. And from REINTJES’s perspective, this year’s event had a very special twist: right in the first race, the two company boats – the GEARigen and the GETRIEBEnen – went head-to-head.

The ‘GEARigen’ came out on top in the duel. In the final standings, they finished 16th in the Gold Cup, thereby improving on their strong result from the previous year (third place in the Silver Final) once again.

The ‘GETRIEBEnen’ also delivered a very good result, securing 15th place in the Silver Cup (2025: first place in the Bronze Final). And they did so in temperatures approaching the 40-degree mark, which makes the results all the more remarkable.

But what was even more important: alongside the team members, other REINTJES staff members didn’t want to miss out on the spectacle either. They cheered on both teams during the races, shared in the excitement and celebrated with them. That’s true team spirit for you, which is further strengthened in such a setting.

“Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there in person this year, but I’m a huge fan of our two dragon boat teams. What the Canoe Club puts on year after year is outstanding. And we’re right in the thick of it with two boats. That makes me incredibly happy,” says REINTJES Managing Director Klaus Deleroi.
