Sustainability Report 2025: REINTJES takes responsibility on many levels

Taking responsibility. At a wide variety of levels. That could sum up the 2025 Sustainability Report, which REINTJES has now published.

Using resources sustainably is one aspect of this. The second is treating employees responsibly.

We have therefore set ourselves the goal of improving even further in the areas of Environment, Social and Governance by 2028 and 2035,” explains REINTJES Managing Director Klaus Deleroi.

On the one hand, this involves conserving resources – for example, reducing water consumption and emissions, says Deleroi. On the other hand, however, the Hameln-based company also wants to attract even more apprentices and students to the business and increase its training intake.

Focus on products and company premises

In the product sector, the electrification and hybridisation of gearboxes is continuing. A key milestone here is the TME Hybrid System, for which a patent application has been filed.

“The further development of our products is a key component, as more and more shipowners are turning to alternative propulsion systems,” says Klaus Deleroi.

In addition, there are investments in the company’s own infrastructure. Some measures, such as the construction of a wastewater treatment plant, the insulation of the roof and the ongoing switch to LED lighting, have already been completed, whilst others are being implemented gradually.
