VDMA trade association visits REINTJES for two days
Exchange, networking and lots of information from the industry: that was the focus of two recent days at REINTJES GmbH.
The reason for this was the board meeting and general meeting of the VDMA Motors and Systems Association. The VDMA is the largest network organisation for mechanical engineering in Germany and Europe. In turn, the VDMA Engines and Systems Association is made up of more than 70 suppliers and manufacturers of combustion engines for industrial applications.
“The association’s board meetings and general meetings are always held alternately at different companies. We are therefore proud that we had the opportunity to present ourselves and our location to numerous decision-makers from German and European companies this year,” says a satisfied REINTJES Managing Director Klaus Deleroi.
Varied programme
And the guests were treated to a varied programme. On day one, the agenda included the economic situation and strategic topics – including CO₂ legislation for heavy commercial vehicles and the revision of the EU Air Quality Directive – of the trade association.
Lower Saxony’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Olaf Lies, also gave a guest lecture on the decarbonisation of the economy and the transport sector. This was followed by a lively discussion.
“We were also able to welcome the members of parliament from the Hameln-Pyrmont district, Mareike Lotte Wulf from the CDU and Johannes Schraps from the SPD, as well as the SPD member of state parliament Constantin Grosch, to the lecture,” says Klaus Deleroi.
And the REINTJES boss continued: “On day two, we had prepared a real highlight right at the start: We took a tour of our production halls in three groups with all the members of the trade association present.”
This was followed by a presentation by CDU member of parliament Oliver Grundmann on the national hydrogen and carbon management strategy. The day was rounded off with reports from the board and the trade association’s management.
