The gearboxes of the SVA series have been specially developed for use in workboats such as tugs, container ships, freighters, tankers, and special ships with similarly high requirements. The plain bearing reduction gearboxes are optimized for efficiency in variable-pitch propeller drive concepts by dispensing with a hydraulically switchable main clutch.
